Freeway shooting may have been sparked by road rage, CHP says

California Highway Patrol officers were investigating a report that the window of a black Ford Mustang was shot out in the northbound lanes near Jamacha Road shortly before 4:30 a.m.

SPRING VALLEY, Calif. — A car’s window was shot out in what may have been a road rage incident early Thursday on state Route 125 in the Spring Valley area.

California Highway Patrol officers were investigating a drive-by shooting that shattered the window of a black Ford Mustang in the northbound lanes near Jamacha Road shortly before 4:30 a.m. No one was injured according to CHP Officer Tommy Doerr.

The gunfire was believed to have come from  a Black BMW 7 series sedan, Doerr said. No suspects were in custody.
