EL CAJON, Calif. – An 8-year-old girl from El Cajon has taken San Diego wrestling world by storm.

Lillian Kohler has a mean double leg, ferocious knee knock and a single mission. In her two years competing, Kohler has 40 wins with 14 pins. All but one of those wins were against boys.

"I just want to wrestle and that's all I do," Kohler said.

The third grader's father Charlie is a former fighter and owns San Diego Fight Club, so naturally she wanted to find a way to follow in the footsteps of her hero.

"It's cool, because he has more experience and I'm his daughter and he teachers me stuff," Kohler said.

"One day she asked me if she could compete the next day and I said 'Of course, I`m going to the tournament might as well,'" Charlie said. "I walk in and she's without shoes, her hair was a mess and she's already beat three guys. Everybody's talking about he. Ever since then she fell in love with wrestling."

"She's tenacious, aggressive and enjoys imposing her will and inflicting some of the pain on the boys," he said. "As a dad, she always puts a smile on my face."

Kohler trains with her dad four days a week and has her sights set firmly on a California State Youth Wrestling Championship in Fresno in late March.
