SAN DIEGO, CA – A woman is facing life in prison after trying to shoot her barber upset over a haircut.
29-year old Adrian Swain is facing attempted premeditated murder with a firearm after she allegedly tried to kill a barber. She was apparently unhappy with the cut.

In court Tuesday Deputy District Attorney, Mackenzie Harney said, “she walked in and said look what you did to my hair!”
It happened last Wednesday morning.   Swain got her haircut at the 619 Barber Shop in North Park on 30th street.

Barber, Manny Montero, gave her a ‘cut and shaved design’ - a style he’s known for. According to the prosecution she spent a substantial mount of time in the shop and seemed happy but then returned 20 minutes later with a loaded gun.

“It’s a pretty bizarre case, she’s upset about the haircut and points a gun at the barber and pulls the trigger three times,” Harvey said.

The handgun was loaded but didn’t fire; the prosecutions’ best guess is she didn’t rack the chamber first.

“She was really lucky she pulled the trigger three times. She absolutely had the intent to hurt or kill this person. That what could have happened – so we are very lucky that gun didn’t work.”

The defense asked bail to be set at $250 thousand dollars, but, Judge Jay Bloom, addressing the deadly consequences if the gun had worked, raised bail to $750 thousand dollars. If found guilty Swain, is looking at life in prison with the possibility of parole.
