SAN DIEGO — A Rolando-area 7-Eleven store was robbed at gunpoint early Thursday.

The suspect walked into the convenience store at the corner of College Avenue and Billman Street with a handgun and demanded cash from an employee shortly before 3 a.m., San Diego police Officer Ben Newton said. He escaped with an undisclosed amount.

Police described the robber as an unshaven white or light-skinned Hispanic man, 25 to 30 years old and roughly 5 feet 9 with a medium build. He was wearing a dark sweatshirt, beanie and pants.
