SAN DIEGO — A small earthquake rattled a portion of Baja California Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The 3-magnitude temblor struck at a depth of 15.5 miles 11 miles west of Delta, Mexico, at 6:39 a.m., the USGS said, based on a computer-generated report.
