SAN DIEGO – National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for portions of San Diego County Wednesday, but has since canceled the alert.
The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has dissipated near Escondido. Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph are still expected along with heavy rain.
