Aztecs seniors prepare for final college game

SAN DIEGO, Calif-  Fifteen San Diego State University seniors will play their final game on Christmas Eve when they take on Cincinnati in the Hawaii Bowl. Two of those seniors, Jake Fely and JJ Whittaker, reflect on their time with the Aztecs. The Oceanside High School products, both voted team captains this year, went to a bowl game every single year of their college career.

Jake Fely has 42 starts under his belt, totaling 259 tackles, 29.5 TFL, 12 sacks, and eight forced fumbles since 2010. J.J. Whittaker started 39 straight games with the Aztecs, the most on either side of the ball, and is a three-time all Mountain West selection.
