Man falls 75 feet down Torrey Pines cliff
LA JOLLA, Calif. — A man was injured when he fell down a cliff at Black’s Beach in Torrey Pines Monday night.
The fall was reported at 7:30 p.m., according to a dispatcher with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.
The victim was airlifted at 8:09 p.m. to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, the dispatcher said.
Fire officials on scene of the accident told Fox 5 that the man fell 75 feet, ending up on the sands at Black’s Beach. SDFD Chopper 2 located the victim near the base of the cliffs below Torrey Pines Glider Port. The man was telling rescuers that he believed he broke both of his legs.
