Flooding traps cars in Lemon Grove

SAN DIEGO -- At least four vehicles were rescued Tuesday night after being swamped by flood waters in Lemon Grove.

Flooding was reported on Federal Boulevard at San Miguel Avenue around 8:30 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol.

The water had risen up to 13 inches deep, and some reports suggested as many as 40 vehicles trapped at one point. Most of those vehicles were able to drive off, but there were four vehicles that had people trapped inside.

The Fire Department rescued each of the vehicles. No one was hurt.

    we lucked out as going down 94 west we barely made it over to college grove way as there at least two cars in deep water there
