SAN DIEGO — A driver who outran California Highway Patrol officers during a pursuit through Lemon Grove remained at large Monday, although officers found the car at a San Diego address.

CHP officers began following a silver Toyota Avalon shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday. They chased the speeding sedan as its driver blew through several red lights and at one point was heading against traffic on a city street, according to the CHP.

Officers eventually lost sight of the car, but traced the license plate number to an address on Ulric Street in the Linda Vista section of San Diego, CHP officials said. The car was impounded, but the driver was not located.

A description of the driver was not immediately available.
