Suspicious object at Coast Guard station prompts evacuation

SAN DIEGO — A suspicious object was discovered Friday at the U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Diego Station, prompting an evacuation.

The San Diego Police Department bomb squad was called to the station, located at 2710 N. Harbor Drive.

Approximately 100 people were evacuated as a precaution.

The scene was determined clear by 1 p.m.
