Here is my take on last night as a common middle class American. I loved the 5 o’clock debate. They had real questions. They asked what each candidate would do, almost all answered the same questions. I like that. Carly Fiorina had a great night. To me her answers were right on.

I was really disappointed at the 9 oclock debate. The questions were not well thought out, it talked about personal stuff and not what mattered. I wanted to see what everyone was going to do about taxes, about illegal immigration, about ISIS, about Iran, about the military, about our cost of living increasing, about the pipeline. I wanted to see a healthy debate on this between the candidates. Instead we get a question/answer session on personal information. The only real debate on that stage was between Paul and Christie.

Not only that, they did not give hardly enough time for Ben Carson to get his points across. As soon as he got going, they had to end it. This is what happens when you have your own agenda and not the agenda of most of America.

I completely agree. I wonder if the strategy for the questions was SUPPOSED to be ‘fellow conservatives’ ask all the hard line gotcha questions the ‘left wing moderators’ would have asked to show everybody on the ‘left’ FOX can ask all the hard questions and they wouldn’t pull punches, you know… ‘fair and balanced’… also that they wanted to see who could defend themselves calmly and gracefully (presidentially), under the gun as it will only get harder once the ‘left’ gets ahold of them and that all the big issues Reps are interested in would be addressed and have been addressed often enough already, on FOX, prior to the debate… they wanted to hit them hard and air all the dirty laundry first… BEFORE the left could do it… kind of a prevent defense if you will… BUT what it FELT like was our own eating our young, and castrating our party better than the ‘left’ can. And it seemed very biased for some (Bush), against some(Trump) and ignoring some (Carson) people we really would have liked to hear from and get to know better. I wouldn’t have called this a “Debate”… it was more like a Paparazzi Press Conference, hitting below the belt from the bell.

I think they were unfair to more than just Trump (Carson and Cruz come to mind as the most ignored) and I have never, once, thought of FOX News as being unbiased… only less biased than the rest and somewhat impartial as compared to the rest of whom, blatantly, are not impartial at all.

It’s hard for me, as a left-leaning person who thinks MSNBC is biased, to imagine anyone would see Fox as unbiased.

Still, I do admire Roger Ailes (Fox) for allowing Kelly to question Walker’s right-to-life stance. (And Google or Youtube search her questioning Cheney about the ignorance of Bush’s Iran war post-occupation plan.) On the other hand, Ailes has to know the women’s vote will matter next year.

I find it insane to think that you would think that the owner of a large corporation would have that much detailed input into an employee’s job.

The big loser is Fox, and I am a daily Fox viewer. Fox has unabashedly and relentlessly promoted the candidacy of their biggest advertising client, Chris Christie and in their own poll (above) of Fox viewers all Christie mangages to earn is the support of 2.48%. This does not speak well for the influence of Fox News. Chris Christie all but endorsed the candidacy of Pres. Obama in the waning days of the 2012 campaign in an excrutiatingly cringe-worthy rant and he was as of that day for many of us, a non-starter. We conservative Republicans see BridgeGate and a record 9 credit downgrades for NJ on his watch as Godsends. He will go nowhere no matter how much Mr. Murdock orders all on-air personalities to follow the pro-Christie talking points at every opportunity.

    • Wiggin

It doesn’t sound like you’re a daily Fox viewer, since Fox has done nothing of the sort. I haven’t heard anything about Christie on Fox News. And I’m not worried, he won’t win the primary.

  • nothillary clinton

Fox News should be ashamed of themselves. You lost what little credibility you may have had. Shame. Shame. Shame. Won’t get fooled again. I like this Boss!

  • Ali Sina

Hard to say who was the real winner. Most candidates performed well. But I can say who was the big loser. FOX. The way the trio handled this debate was so unprofessional that it showed from the very start. Only a fool could miss that they had an agenda. The attack on Trump was so obvious and so was ignoring Carson. I think FOX and particularly Kelly lost their credibility among conservatives.

    • Wiggin

Only a fool would think the moderators had an agenda beyond asking the questions that people on Facebook submitted. Asking Trump questions about his positions and his past opinions isn’t attacking him. Megyn Kelly did better than any other debate moderator in the past.

  • Brian

Fox News was the only loser (nice try with the gotcha questions) megyn kelly will long be remembered for her parochial and failed FOX fair and balanced act.

Your opinion is wrong and you are more stupid than Trump. Trump whining about being attacked shows how much of a narcissistic coward he really is, and you can’t see it. You should see a doctor about why you like men who abuse you.

all these politicians tell us what they are going to do….well why havent they done it??? they have helped obama get this country into such a disaster… and now they want my vote…i dont think so…i would be voting for them to do the same as they have been and giving them approval…..ben carson was right on the “half brain” comment, he was right on the money……i dont want another half brained politician …ronald regan, an actor, did better than what we have now when he was suffering from alzheimers…i wish trump and carson would team up…we would have a kick ass president and a brilliant surgeon to fix our medical problems who really does know what is going on with the medical world…i dont care if trump is not politically correct…he isnt owned by anyone and that is why he can afford to speak his mind.

  • Russ

Fox News and the rest of the media still do not understand that Americans are fed-up with politicians, and they want real change. Donald Trump, and his style of management/leadership, is what’s required to prevent the USA from going bankrupt. This election is about action and accomplishment versus the promises of established politicians.

    • Wiggin

That’s BS and if you knew anything about economics, politics, and/or history, you’d know better than to think that way.

  • D J Bennett

I was so disappointed in the 9PM debate and the moderators, it was nothing more than an ambush for Donald Trump from the very beginning! “Fair and Balanced” is just a joke now, there was nothing fair and balanced about any part of it. By the way, you can thank Donald Trump for the great ratings, he was the only reason your ratings were high and it was your chance to show just how fair and balanced you are, you failed!
How do you feel now to know that you (the moderators) may be the reason for the ratings big drop?
    Donald Trump for President 2016

Obviously Rubio, Carson, & Cruz’ numbers went up. Trump is still #1 on ALL POLLS. Rick Perry and Fiorna should be moved to the top 10 & DISMISS Rand Paul, Walker, & Santorum. ~ Jeb Bush is so far behind he might as well go home

    • RitewingvoterTx

The Republican Landscape has shifted FROM the Elite group to our group (working persons who pay taxes). The Elites must recognize that our numbers are Larger than the Elites in America; thats why Trump, Rubio, Cruz, et al
know what we NEED, not another candidate with the personality of a dead flash light battery, But a Spirited person
that has been successful and realizes America is in Overload trying to care for a population illegal immigrant explosion thats caused tax payers a bunch, the GOP elites got it wrong in past elections, even tho the candidates were/are
      good men.

Most interested in hearing Ben Carson more – Trump won the debate but Carson may be Trump’s alter ego. Trump does not only talk but has done the walk in a mine field in the real world too. Rand Paul flipped out. He needs to make a come back now. The rest are part of the establishment and just recite the same old worn out rhetoric of the globalist free traders group. We need someone who can attract the “unnetted” and the 50 percent non voters like Trump had done so far.
http://ray-tapajna-tapsearcher.page.tl Free trade economics is the major cause of our economic and social crisis

  • Alice in Real Land

In the debate I Trump did make us feel that we need a Business Man……. like Trump…… in the White House……. because the Politicians …..can’t seem to get things done right….the Politicians….. are too busy with the” People” in their “pocket”…..while Trump…… doesn’t need them in his pocket…… because they are in the same circle…Trump will know…… how to utilize them…… when it comes to getting things done…… for the COUNTRY.HE WIL DO HIS HIS BEST in making this COUNTRY GREAT AGAIN !!! AMEN ! GO USA !
