CANTON, Ohio – San Diego Chargers fans expressed their discontent Thursday after seeing a huge banner at the Pro Football Hall of Fame featuring Junior Seau in a Patriots jersey.
The banner is hanging from the Hall in Canton, Ohio and features the eight men getting inducted on Saturday. Seau played 13 seasons of his 20 year NFL career with the Chargers and retired from the organization, too.
It’s not the first controversial issue involving Seau’s induction. Last week, the Hall got heat from Chargers fans after debating whether Seau’s daughter Sydney would be allowed to speak on his behalf at the ceremony.
The organization later announced Sydney would not be giving a speech, but would be interviewed.
“[Getting inducted is] the last piece of his circle that’s going to be complete. It’s going to be a very emotional day for everybody,” Seau’s sister Annette Seau-So’to told FOX 5.
