Michael Bay's "13 Hours" is the story about what happened during the attack in Benghazi that left four Americans dead. Three of them had ties to San Diego, including Sean Smith, a U.S. foreign service officer.
Smith's mother Pat says the trailer is an accurate representation of what she believes happened. She knows some will criticize the trailer for being action-packed, but she doesn't think it sensationalizes what happened.
"Everything I have heard from everywhere...everything just gels in that trailer," said Smith.
Smith says she has waited years for the State Department to tell her how her son died, but they never did. She says the book "13 Hours" and the movie based on it will be her only answers.
"I want to know why my son is dead when they promised they had security and the least they could do is tell me," said Smith.
"13 Hours" is scheduled to be released mid-January.
