SAN DIEGO - The Ultimate Fighting Championship's Fight Night matches were at Valley View Casino Center Wednesday Night.

UFC Fans filled the arena, "I just love, I think, the brutal-ness of it" said longtime fan Lachele Wittman.  The lure of this mixed martial arts display?  Richard Vongsawat said listed a variety of reasons he's follows the matches, "It's violent.  A gladiator sport. Its fun to watch."

UFC matches are part boxing, kicking, wrestling, "There's not a great deal of rules" said Terry Hunter, another longtime fan.  Some like to see blood in this sport.  The more, the better according to Jonathan Jimenez, "We want it. We want it. That's how you know its a good fight.  That's why I paid $125 for these seats."

Through the early matches, he and others pointed out it was the women who drew blood, not the men.

First-timer, Kai Ferguson was with his dad in the arena and enjoying the matches but admitted what happens in the cage isn't the only show worth watching, "Some of the fans are hilarious."
