CHULA VISTA, Calif. – A man was recovering Monday morning after his son shot him in the head with a BB gun in the South Bay, according to San Diego police.
Police went to the 4100 block of Arey Drive around 12:06 a.m. to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they learned that a woman was fighting with her husband when their 12-year-old son fired a BB gun and hit his father in the head. Investigators said the boy was trying to come to his father’s aid and was aiming for his mother.
Paramedics treated the man at the scene and did not take him to the hospital. The woman was arrested in connection with assaulting her husband and taken to the Las Colinas jail.
Police did not arrest the boy.
