2 gunmen sought in North Park street robberies

SAN DIEGO – Police were searching for two men responsible for a string of three armed street robberies in North Park early Wednesday morning.

All three robberies were within one mile of each other and occurred over the course of 90 minutes. The first robbery was at 11:26 p.m. in the 4000 block of 32nd Street in North Park. Two men attempted to rob someone on the street of their wallet and cell phone, but it was unclear if they were able to get away with anything.

The second hold up was at 12:27 a.m. on the 4100 block of Kansas Street. The gunmen walked up behind two people who were walking home and demanded money and their cellphones. No one was hurt.

Just minutes later, the gunmen robbed another person of their personal belongings at 30th Street and El Cajon Boulevard.

The muggers are described as black men between 25 and 30 years old. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
