Green's silver Corvette was found Tuesday parked near the port of entry in San Ysidro. Surveillance video shows 40-year-old Green pulling into a lot about an hour after police say he killed his wife, 37-year-old Tressa Green, in a parking lot after the two finished a marriage counseling session.
Police say Green sped off in his Corvette, dumped a gun in Marian Bear Park along State Route 52 and made his way to the border.
“We don’t believe he has access to other vehicles – unless somebody’s helping him. We believed he parked his car and walked towards the border. That seems to be the strongest possibility at this point,” said Sgt. Manny Del Toro of the San Diego Police Department.
Officials with state police in Baja California confirmed to FOX 5 they have Green's description and have been told to be on the lookout for the suspected murderer.
But SDPD is still working to get proof Green crossed the border.
“Once we can get that, it’ll definitely help us and the Mexican authorities in our searches," said Del Toro.
