Bar workers tied up during armed robbery in Bay Park

SAN DIEGO - Two masked robbers got away after robbing a bar at gunpoint in Bay Park early Thursday, San Diego police said.

The robbers walked into Black Thorn Irish Pub at 3010 Clairemont Drive around 2  a.m. Thursday and pointed a rifle at the owner and another employee. They forced them onto the ground, tied them up and forced the owner to tell them where the money was kept. When one of the robbers went to the back of the bar to look for the money, he found a another employee,  who was also forced to the ground, police said.

The robbers ran out of the back of the bar with the cash and personal possessions from the employees. San Diego police arrived about 15 minutes later. It was not known how much money the thieves got away off with.

No one was injured.

The victims were not able to provide useful descriptions of the robbers, and there was no description of their vehicle.
