Emerald Hills shooting sends man to hospital

SAN DIEGO — A shooting in an Emerald Hills-area neighborhood left a man wounded Monday evening.

The gunfire in the 5800 block of Old Memory Lane was reported about 5:15 p.m., according to San Diego police.

Medics took the victim, believed to be in his mid-20s, to a hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to his torso, Officer Dino Delimitros said. His condition was not immediately available.

A witness said the shooter may have fled with three other people in a green four-door Honda.
