Elderly dementia patient found safe

SAN DIEGO (CNS) — An 80-year-old man with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease was found safe about seven hours after he went missing on Tuesday, police said.

Donald Booker was found safe at the Old Town Trolley station several miles from his home at 11 p.m. Monday, said San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

Booker had gone missing at 3:45 p.m. Monday when he went for a walk in the 6100 block of Beadnell Way, police said.

    Another good example of how our county needs to step up and help these families prevent these situations, and aid them in using tracking devices which can help locate them much faster.
