FAIRFIELD, Calif. – An 8-year-old Fairfield boy, who was abducted when his mother’s car was stolen from the driveway of the family home, has been found safe and the car recovered, authorities said.

Brock Guzman was abducted around 4:45 a.m. Monday in Fairfield. The unknown kidnapper drove away with the victim in a 2001 silver Toyota Corolla with a California license plate of 5BWF072.

The Amber Alert was in effect for Solano, Yolo, Contra Costa, Sacramento, and Napa Counties.

Fairfield police said the boy was in good condition and was being reunited with his parents.

“He is perfectly fine,” said Fairfield police officer Kathryn McCormick. “As far as I know he was still asleep when officers arrived.”
