SAN DIEGO – An alleged drunk driver was in jail Tuesday morning after flipping his truck in Mission Bay, police said.

The white pick up drove off the road into the grass near Mission Bay Drive around 1:30 in the morning. The truck then hit a pole and flipped over onto its roof. It came to a stop not far from the water.

The driver reportedly ran toward San Diego police when they arrived. Officers confirmed the man was driving under the influence and arrested him. No one was hurt.
