OCEANSIDE, Calif. – A car crashed into the front of a Chase bank and through security doors in Oceanside Monday, authorities said.
The driver mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake causing her car to crash through the bank's door in Oceanside Monday, witnesses said.
Firefighters arrived at the bank at 615 College Boulevard around 11 a.m.
One of the bank clerks was able to move away from the incoming car, but suffered minor injuries, according to a witness. The clerk was driven to a medical center to be evaluated.
There were minor damages to the bank and it was unknown when the bank would reopen, according to Oceanside police.
