SAN DIEGO -- Jack Dashwood finds his happy place on the baseball mound for St. Augustine High School, where the 6'6" junior has become the ace of the Saints.

"He is a lights-out guy. He throws firm. He challenges guys. He can dominate at times and take the game over and that's what you want," said head coach Craig da Luz. "He leads by example and he takes these guys under his wing. As jack goes we go."

The left-handed pitcher says he picked up baseball at age 2 and since then has dedicated as much time as possible to the game. Dashwood verbally committed to UC Santa Babara as a freshman and continues to draw attention from college and pro scouts.
