Camp Pendleton warns of noise from live-fire training exercise

CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. — Camp Pendleton Marines will be conducting live-fire training exercises Friday that may be heard throughout the North County, base officials announced Wednesday.

The exercises are scheduled to start at 6 a.m. and continue into the evening, according to Pendleton’s public affairs office.

The sound from the exercises may be heard up to 50 miles away, base officials said.
