SAN DIEGO — A 20-year-old man was shot three times Friday during an argument with suspects in an alley in the Castle section of San Diego, but was expected to survive, police said.

The shooting was reported about 7:35 p.m. in the 3700 block of Van Dyke Avenue, said San Diego police Officer Robert Heims.

Three males were seen running south in the alley after the shooting, Heims said.

The victim, who was shot in both legs and his left side, was taken to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening wounds, Heims said.
