Robert Cricks

FALLBROOK, Calif. — Search and rescue teams combed the Fallbrook area early Monday for a missing 76-year-old Murrieta man whose car was found in the North County community.

Robert Cricks was reported missing early Thursday morning from the area of Winchester and Murrieta Hot Springs roads, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, which said he apparently drove off after his wife left him waiting in their car while she stepped out to run a quick errand.

His car, a silver 2007 Infinity G35, was found on De Luz Road early this morning, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

Cricks suffers from severe dementia. He is white, 5 feet 11 and 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap with military pins, a blue jacket, a long sleeve blue shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about Cricks’ whereabouts was asked to call the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department at 951-696-3119.
