Hit-and-run driver slams into bus

SAN DIEGO – Police were on the lookout Monday morning for the drive of a truck who crashed into an Metropolitan Transit System bus.

The white Chevy truck t-boned the city bus at 1st Avenue and Market Street in downtown San Diego at 9:12 p.m. Sunday.

The driver of the truck drove away after the accident. One passenger was on board the bus at the time of the crash. No one was hurt.

San Diego and transit system police are investigating.

Another MTS bus was hit by a truck last Friday in National City. In that accident, the truck was exiting I-5 onto West 8th Street when it collided with the bus. The driver of the truck was hurt but all passengers on the bus were OK.
