SUN CITY, Ariz. - Dozens of people, including police chased two llamas through the streets of Sun City, Arizona setting off a Twitter frenzy Thursday.

The two llama became Internet sensations after aerial video of their low-speed chase through the desert city went viral.

The chase started around 11:45 a.m.  and dozens of patrol cars and people were seen attempting to wrangle the animals.  It took nearly 45 minutes for ranchers to lasso both the white and black llamas and return them to their owner.

Apparently, the llamas were at an elderly care facility where they help with therapy.  They became spooked and ran out of their trailer, 12New reported.
