SPRING VALLEY, Calif – A semi truck pulling an oversize load weighing more than a ton broke down and closed several lanes in Spring Valley Sunday night.

The truck was pulling a heavy piece of equipment around 10:40 p.m. on Jamacha Boulevard when a section came apart from the main load, bringing the truck to a halt and damaging the asphalt below. No one was hurt.

Two lanes were¬†expected to stay¬†closed throughout Monday morning on a small section of Jamacha Boulevard near Ruxton Avenue about half a mile east of the 125 freeway. Crews are expected to repair the truck and have lanes back open on Monday. A crane may be necessary given the extreme weight of the truck’s load.
