Family pleads for safe return of 4 missing children after mother found dead
LOS ANGELES, Calif – An Amber Alert has been issued in San Diego after the mother of 4 missing children was found dead in the trunk of her car near Los Angeles on Wednesday.
The missing children are all brothers between the ages of 6 and 11 and are believed to be with Daniel Perez, their biological father. Montabello police have named Perez as a person of interest. He is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches, and 140 pounds traveling in a black 2014 Toyota Camry with a California license plate No. 7FDS891.
The Perez family was last seen together on Friday in the Los Angeles area before the mother’s body was found on Wednesday evening. Family members described the couple’s relationship as unstable with a history of domestic violence. In a press conference, the family called for Perez to drop the children off, saying “don’t hurt them, they’re innocent” and “they need us”.
According to California Highway Patrol, the missing children are Alex Hayden Perez, 6,Tristin Devin Perez, 8, Jaden Eric Perez, 9, and Jordan Dante Perez, 11. They all have short, dark hair. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
