SAN DIEGO – Police are searching for the gunman who robbed an adult bookstore in the Hillcrest over the weekend.

The robbery took place about 1:50 a.m. at the Romantix bookstore at 1407 University Ave, according to San Diego police Sgt. Brad O’Donnell.

The man entered the bookstore, walked up to the clerk, pulled out a silver handgun and demanded money, police said. The clerk then handed over an undisclosed amount of cash, O’Donnell said.

After the clerk handed over the money, the robber then ordered the clerk to lay down on the floor, O’Donnell continued. The gunman walked away from the scene.

No injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 40 and 50-years-old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, medium build, with a white towel over his head. The suspect was last seen wearing a black, puffy jacket and dark jeans.
