SAN DIEGO — The judges distributed $60,000 in prize money Monday in the U.S. Sand Sculpting Challenger at the B Street Pier.
The competition, which began Friday, attracted 23 individual and team competitors.
Among the team entries, a sculpture titled “Homework Machine” took the top prize.
The winner of the Grand Masters competition was an entry titled “Seed.” A sculpture called “Triquetra” took the 2nd place prize.
