BREAKING NEWS: CARLSBAD MOM NOT GUILTY OF 1ST DEGREE MURDER

105-year-old throws 1st pitch at Padres game

SAN DIEGO—Agnes McKee, 105 circled her right arm several times and threw out the first pitch at the Padre game.

“I am relieved it is over.  Now I can go relax,” she said as she left the field.

The pitch was part of McKee’s birthday celebration.  She wore a jersey with her age on the back.

“That is something to be proud of,” she said laughing.

McKee spent the week tossing baseballs around instead of bowling or playing bingo.  Staying active and youthful is no sweat for her.

“I have no secret.  It is easy, all you have to do is keep on going,” she said.

McKee made her major league debut with her biggest fan by her side, her daughter Jane.

“I am a very proud daughter.  This is not something we ever expected,” Jane McKee said.

Her mom’s five minutes of fame is a treat for their entire family spread out around the country.

“For some its the first time they’ve been able to see her for a long time because she can’t travel.  This is really special,” the daughter said, fighting back tears.
