Young Pilot Attempts To Set A World Record

SAN DIEGO – A 19-year-old pilot is scheduled to land in San Diego Monday night – finishing his record-breaking attempt to be the youngest person to fly solo around the world.

Matt Guthmiller of South Dakota is expected to land at Gillespie Field in El Cajon just after 9 p.m.

His friends and family are anxiously awaiting his arrival.
