SAN DIEGO — Singer-songwriter Jewel canceled her concert scheduled Sunday at Humphreys by the Bay and the show will not be rescheduled this season, Humphreys announced Monday.

The reason cited was a recent back injury.

Earlier this month, she announced her six-year marriage to rodeo star Ty Murray was coming to an end. The couple dated about a decade before they tied the knot.

This will be the second time Jewel is not able to perform at a San Diego concert. In November or 2010, Jewel didn’t perform at Petco Park due to an illness.

The four-time Grammy nominee, whose full name is Jewel Kilcher, launched her career in San Diego by playing at area coffee houses in the early 1990s — sometimes while living out of her car. Her debut album, “Pieces of You,” became a multi-platinum seller in 1995 and 1996.

Humphreys said refunds are available at the point of purchase.
