When Marine Corps Capt. William Mahoney took off from the Norfolk-based USS Bataan, a red warning light alerted him that the nose landing gear on his AV-8B Harrier was not working.

Fortunately for him the Bataan carries a special padded stool for just such an emergency. Mahoney says he never actually saw the stool during the landing. Watch the video and hear his story.
