San Diego International Boat Show kicks off

boatshowSAN DIEGO — The annual San Diego International Boat Show, which will feature more than 150 vessels, opens a four-day run Thursday.

   Personal watercraft, sailboats, entry-level family cruisers and luxury yachts will be shown off at the Sheraton Marina on Harbor Island. Show organizers say eight super-yachts longer than 80 feet will be on display.

   The show will also include paddleboard and kayak demonstrations and a scuba pool where attendees can try a test dive.

   Experts will also be available for maintenance instruction and improving boating skills.

   The show runs from noon to 7 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

   Adult admission is $12. Youth 15 and younger and military with identification get in free.
