The accident happened at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday as the bus was traveling on the 73 Freeway north of Newport Coast Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol. The woman toppled over and fell out a left-side window, KTLA-TV reported.

The girl, who was later identified as Charlotte Boyse, managed to get to the center divider and the driver pulled to shoulder of the highway, the CHP said. Boyse was treated for minor injuries and later tweeted to friends, “There is an angel looking over me, thanking god to be alive.”
