robberySAN DIEGO  – A gunman robbed a wireless phone store in San Diego’s Corridor area Saturday, police said.

The suspect entered the Cricket Wireless Store at 3648 University Ave., displayed a handgun and demanded cash from two female employees, San Diego police Officer David Stafford said.

He fled on foot with an undisclosed sum, heading south on Cherokee Avenue, Stafford said.

The gunman was described as Hispanic, about 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a full beard.

He was wearing a green beanie, black jacket and dark jeans, Stafford said.
