EL CAJON, Calif. — A man in a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses threatened a clerk Wednesday while robbing an El Cajon bank.
The thief confronted the teller at the Citibank branch office in the 400 block of Fletcher Parkway shortly before 2:30 p.m. and presented a demand note written on a manila envelope, according to the FBI.
The message included a statement threatening to do harm to the victim unless the bandit received cash.
After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the robber put it inside the envelope and fled, possibly in a tan Toyota Tundra or Tacoma pickup truck.
Witnesses described him as a roughly 5-foot-6-inch man with a slight build.
