SAN DIEGO – Entrance ramps were closed to traffic Tuesday afternoon as firefighters extinguished a car fire in Kearny Mesa, fire dispatcher said.
A Ford Transit Connect burst into flames after colliding with a Chevy Tahoe on the state Route 52 freeway ramp near Convoy Street at 3:30 p.m., San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said.
Crews extinguished the flames within 10 minutes.
Both drivers and a dog escaped the flames unharmed.
