Expensive watches stolen from jewelry store

SAN DIEGO – San Diego police were on the lookout Saturdaycrime for the man who swiped three Rolex watches from a jewelry store near Point Loma while the salesman’s back was turned.

The suspect spent about 15 minutes looking at the watches inside the Ipanema Jewelry Store at 1168 Rosecrans St. and appeared to be considering three when, at around 5:40 p.m. Friday, he asked the salesman to get him one more, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford.

As the salesman turned to retrieve the fourth requested Rolex, the suspect grabbed the other three from the counter and ran out of the store, Stafford said. No one was injured, he said.

Police described the suspect as black, in his 30s, 6 feet tall and thin. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and jeans, according to police.

Of course you're going to say he was black. That's what everyone does; assume the criminal is black. That's because you are all hateful and prejudiced. Wait! What's that you say? There was an eye witness? Oh………never mind.
