SAN DIEGO – Several people, including two children were aboard a boat, operated by a suspected drunken driver, that crashed in Mission Bay Sunday evening, authorities said.
The boat crashed near Ski Beach at the 2900 block of Ingraham Street at 8:25 p.m., San Diego Fire-Rescue Department dispatcher said. Authorities did not disclose what the boat crashed into.
The two adults aboard were thrown into the water, dispatcher said. An infant and toddler were strapped into car seats on the boat during the crash.
The children were transported to Rady Children’s Hospital as a precaution, lifeguards said.
San Diego police arrested the driver on suspicion of drunken driving.
