Gunman robs Hillcrest restaurant

robbery SAN DIEGO – Robbery detectives Friday sought to identify a gunman who held up a Jack in the Box restaurant in Hillcrest.

The armed robbery at 220 W. Washington St. was reported at 11:09 p.m. Thursday, according to San Diego police Officer David Stafford. The gunman fled on foot to the north with cash, he said in a statement.

Police described the thief as a Hispanic man in his late 20s with short black hair and tattoos on both arms.
