Police: Man breaks bottle over neighbor’s head

SAN DIEGO – A resident in a downtown San Diego condo became upset with people hanging out in the pool area and hit a man over the head with a glass bottle, police said over the weekend.

San Diego police responded to a complex at 645 Front Street around 6:30 p.m. Saturday night after another resident suffered a head wound and was slashed in the back with glass, officer said.

A witness told Fox 5 an angry man walked into the pool area accusing a group of men of using glass bottles in an area that prohibited it. The man continued to go through bags of people at the pool, finding a glass bottle, then hitting the victim with it, the witness said.Glass Bottle Assault - pool closed

Charles Levine, 43, was arrested and faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

The victim was expected to survive his injuries.
