SAN DIEGO — A former teacher at Bell Middle School in San Diego pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of possession of child pornography and three counts of receiving child porn, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Timothy James Hensley, 39, was caught in a two investigations, one by the Justice Department and the other Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

guiltyHensley had an iMac computer and computer disks with images depicting minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, including prepubescent children, prosecutors said.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said the San Diego man also received images of a 10-year-old girl involved in sexual conduct.

Hensley faces up to 100 years in federal prison, plus fines, if the counts are run consecutively. He’s scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 12 at the U.S. District Courthouse in San Diego.

Hensley has been on paid administrative leave since his January arrest, pending the outcome of the case, said San Diego Unified School District spokeswoman Linda Zintz. She said he has not been on a school campus since the arrest came to light.
