Infant transported to hospital after being found unconscious

SAN DIEGO – A 10 month old infant is in critical condition after being found unconscious and unresponsive at a City Heights apartment Friday in an apparent case of near-drowning, authorities reported.

The mother made a call shortly after 3:30 p.m. to report the emergency in the 4100 block of 42nd Street, according to San Diego police.

ambulanceThe child was in a bath tub and not breathing when police arrived.

Medics performed CPR before taking the victim to Rady Children’s Hospital.

The name and gender of the baby and further details about what happened were not immediately available.

No arrests have been made.

The mother was taken to police headquarters for more questioning.

    If you "found" your 10 month old in the bath you should go straigbt to jail. Do not pass go, do not collectanymore welfare.
