SoCal TV news anchor reported missing

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – A television news anchor for Channel 3′s KEYT in Santa Barbara has been reported missing.

Paula LopezConcerned family members reported, 48-year-old Paula Lopez, missing just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s department, her last known location was at her home located near Cathedral Oaks Road and North San Marcos Road.

Lopez was last seen around 9:30 a.m. wearing a black sweatshirt and tennis shoes.

No foul play is suspected, but her family is concerned about her welfare.

KEYT General Manager Mark Danielson released a statement saying, “We have been in touch with her family and know they, as well as local authorities, are doing everything possible to find her safe and sound. It is clearly a difficult time for her family and our own family at KEYT.”

Lopez, who spent six years at KCAL-TV Channel 9 in Los Angeles, co-anchors the Santa Barbara station’s 11 p.m. broadcast.

She is married to Presiding Judge of Santa Barbara Superior Court, Frank Ochoa.
